The short version, for journalists
DisConnect is a free screen time app plus a $39 NFC card. Tap the card to lock the apps that eat your evenings. When you've been scrolling a while, the app shows you three things happening within 10 minutes of you, and members earn rewards for checking in at partner venues. Founded in Toronto by Max Ward, Mich Ward and Christian Leon-Williamson.
Interviews, images and data: hello@disconnectcard.com. Related reading: how the phone-free movement started.
The card is $39, once. Nothing to charge, nothing to cancel.
